Collaboration with UWPD Architect.
Interior and lighting Design of a 20,000 sqft school for exceptionally bright high school students with an “out-of-the-box” approach to learning. Our role as part of this design team, led by UWPD Architects in Myrtle Beach, SC, was to orchestrate the interior volume of the building into an exceptional learning environment through the creation of dynamic interior architectural features. Design features include: Floating study cubes with butterfly ceilings, writable glass wall surfaces, quotes of inspiration, and an open flexible learning space, as well as more traditional classrooms with floods of natural light and wide-open views to the landscape. The creation of interest and continuity in ceiling plains, lighting, finishes and furnishings all work to inspire these bright young minds.
